The program is structured with a 40:60 balance of business knowledge and hands-on experience in Business Data Analytics. Our aim is to develop effective leaders with essential qualities for organizations.
Students engage in immersive learning, including case studies, simulations, hands-on training, and industry projects. Courses are carefully designed with input from consultants, educators, and industry experts to meet employer expectations.
A key feature is Project-Based Learning (PBL), where students work on real data challenges from day one with professional mentors. They bridge the gap between business issues and data solutions, enhancing their technical skills.
Students collaborate in interdisciplinary teams on data science projects, culminating in their Master’s thesis presentation. This practical approach prepares graduates for impactful roles in the world of Business Data Analytics.
Analytics services for Goa is a flagship program for PGDM-BDA, which offers first-hand interaction of the PGDM-BDA students and faculty with the Goan Industries and institutions with respect to analytics practices and projects.
ASG is a core course for the 1st year students only.
It is a 3 credits course spread across term II and III.
After completion of three terms in the GIM campus, students are required to immediately join their respective companies to do analytics internship projects for five months. The placement for the internship takes place during the second term.
The intensive five-month (18-21 weeks) internship is mentored by one GIM faculty and a company executive
At GIM, students are strongly encouraged to engage in live company projects, a cornerstone of our program that equips them to grasp genuine business scenarios. With guidance from professional mentors, they delve into real-world data challenges from day one.
At Nova, through Project-Based Learning (PBL), students apply their evolving knowledge and tools directly to practical business issues. This approach allows them to learn and adapt alongside partner organizations, effectively bridging the gap between complex business challenges and data-driven solutions. PBL, a key component of our graduate-level training, empowers students to build and deploy data curation tools while honing their technical skills.
The program offers a comprehensive learning experience, where students gain proficiency in various big data analytical tools like SAS, Python, R, and more, covering statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization. With a fully equipped Data Science Lab, students receive hands-on training on actual datasets to solve real business problems and Project- Based Learning (PBL) is a unique feature that immerses students in real-world data challenges from day one. Supported by mentors, students apply their knowledge and tools to bridge the gap between business challenges and data science solutions, honing their technical skills for practical deployment.
The vision for this programme is to prepare future ready managers who are well versed with the prowess of BDA with hands-on experience with handling of tools and techniques in vogue, to manage their respective domains most effectively.
To achieve this, the powered lab sessions include analytics being taught by a SAS accredited faculty team.
Besides SAS, students will also be trained in R and Python Programming, so as to be able to handle any possible business problem even in non-SAS environment.

I am Arun Prakash from the inception batch (2020) of. I am currently working as a Business Analyst for the Marketing Analytics team at PayPal. I am part of an international cross functional team which is responsible for setting up analytics experiments, marketing opportunity, Insights management for the marketing team of Paypal. Being a student at GIM, the experience nurtured me with both functional and technical caveats.
